New Business.

  1. Sign building. Wyatt Kram. Wyatt stated he has 125 sign posts welded and ready for faces. we need more faces. We have faces on order with the state. Rod Clouse is heading that direction next week and can potentially pick some up. however, the state may not have anything until state convention. Jeff Kolnes reached out to the Red River club President Pete Miesen to see if they had anything. They will be getting back to Jeff. Potentially doing sign building Friday evening at Wyatt’s shop.
  2. Trail Signing. 0% done trail wide. Sounds like this weekend many members are going to try knock out their sections. We need to have completed by December 15th. Trails can potentially open Dec. 1st.
  3. State Convention. Dec 8th-9th in Jamestown. Would be nice to get a solid club presence since its close. Brent Haugen is going for sure. Other members expressed interest. As in the past, the Club is willing to cover bills for those that attend.
  4. Diversion. Club members had a meeting with ASN last week. We expressed that we want to continue our trail system to include Harwood from the West and North during diversion construction. They are permitting us to run the trail through their work zones. We need to make sure the trail is well marked in those locations.
  5. Trail section signing breakdown. was discussion of changing out some members that may be stepping aside. This will be discussed in further detail at meetings going forward. As a club, we will step up and assist all sections to make sure signing gets completed.
  6. Groomer operators. Toby had spoken to an interested individual that runs groomer in MN. He would be willing to run Mondays/Tuesdays for our club. Discussion on pay, etc.
  7. Gaming. Zach Bohn. All paperwork has been submitted to the Attorney General with state of ND. Zach has been following up and has not been given a time table as to when it will be approved. “they are behind” is all he is being told. Jeff Kolnes reached out to Allan Schimmel, who works under the attorney general to see if he could assist in getting the paperwork approved. waiting to hear back on that. Once approved, we will have gaming in the Harwood Grill & Saloon!
  8. Snowmobile safety class. discussion of holding a class in Harwood Community Center. Snowmobile ND does not require in person safety classes, but Brent was going to see what we could put together after the state convention.
  9. Club Sponsorship Coordinator Rod Clouse will be reaching out to Acme to see if we can get another Milwaukee Rivet gun so we have two of them to assist in building signs. Zach motioned, Jeff approved purchase of one if needed.
