South trail to open this weekend

2/2/2013

Grooming was completed  on the southern portion of the Rural Cass Snowmobile Trail Friday night. The snow is light from Casselton to Leonard so that part of the trail will remain closed, but the rest of the southern loop is open and groomed. . (Please try to stay off the freshly groomed trail for a new hours to allow it to set up and the grooming will last longer.)

The northern part of the trail doesn’t yet have enough snow and will remain closed.

If anyone is interested in riding along in the groomer, please contact Greg Strommen at (701) 212-7002.

Check back regularly to learn more about trail conditions.

Club to share new groomer with Red River SnoRiders

A new snowmobile trail groomer recently landed in Cass County.  It s 2013 Tucker Terra 174 hp that will be shared between Rural Cass Snowmobile Club and Red River SnoRiders. Both of these club are members of the East Central Valley Trail Association.

Thank you to the landowners along the snowmobile trail!

This week, we send a special “shout out” to the 15 or so landowners that make it possible for the Rural Cass Snowmobile Club and Snowmobile North Dakota to provide more than 100 miles of groomed snowmobile trail in rural Cass County.

These landowners generously provide the ability for the snowmobile trails to cross their property. Without this generosity, the trail system would not exist. Please respect the private landowners and stay on the trail!

Thank you to the local landowners!
