Club takes local man on "dream" snowmobiling trip

Club members from the Rural Cass Snowmobile Club rode along as Pat Connor, a volunteer with the Cass County Sherriff's Depart, took Brandon Kluth on a snowmobile ride from Mapleton to Casseton. Brandon, a client of CCRI, had dreamed of riding a snowmobile for years.

The Rural Cass Snowmobile Club is asking you to renew your club membership. The last few years we have noticed that our membership has slowly been decreasing. Snowmobile North Dakota is looking at ways in which they can reward clubs for gaining new members. One way they are doing this is through a contest in which we can get snowmobile trail money by getting more members. Our goal this year is to gain 20 members from last year.  If you were a member last year, thank you.  We appreciate your help to keep the trails running.  If you forgot to renew your membership, this would be a great time to renew it.

Get Snowmobile ND license plates for your vehicle

Are you interested in having a license plate with the Snowmobile ND logo on it? These license plates are now an option and a portion of the cost of the plates is returned to SND to use for their operational budget.     The plates have the logo (see above) on the left and five license numbers on the right. Cost is $25 annually and $15 is returned to Snowmobile ND.  Click here to print the form to order your SND license plates.  For “Organization” enter Snowmobile North Dakota. Contact Keri Wanner at  701-328-5377 with any questions.

Trail Grooming Updates

Updated Feb 22: Trails are open. Southern loop (Maleton, Davenport, Leonard, Casselton) will be groomed Wednesday evening. Northern loop (Casselton, Arthur, Argusville, Harwood, Mapleton) was groomed from the warming house to Mapleton last week. Get text messages about grooming by sending keyword "ruralcass" to 46986

When the trail is groomed, please allow two hours for the trail to set up before riding on it. The sooner it is ridden on, the faster the trail condition will deteriorate. Also, the trail is not intended for ATV riding. Thank you for not riding ATVs on the snowmobile trail.
